A Long Time Coming

I think the Associated Press article's opening line says it all ...

The Detroit Lions fired president Matt Millen on Wednesday, more than seven years after the former linebacker and TV analyst took over one of the NFL's most mediocre franchises and made it the worst.

Whatever pictures or dirty laundry that Millen has on William Ford Sr. must have finally come out because the inept GM couldn't continue to sink the ship any further. I fear that it's going to be a long rebuilding process, but as a Lions fan, I can have hope again. At least Ford announces who he's going to hire as his next mistake.
